IAM Compton has assembled a dream team of tattoo artists to build a trusted family at the first-ever tattoo shop/recording studio in Compton.

Our mission is to create a movement in Compton through a creative collective by celebrating the talent, passion, and rich culture of the community.

What age do I have to be to get a tattoo?

Clients must be at least 18 years of age to receive a tattoo.

How much does it cost to get a tattoo?

Every tattoo artist is responsible for their own pricing. Please contact the artist directly to inquire about pricing. Compton's rates are per hour.

What payment methods do you accept?

No cash will be accepted. We accept Apple Pay, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express.

Do you work with other artists’ sketches?

Every tattoo artist is responsible for their own way of doing business. KP does not work with other artist’s sketches.

Can I ask for a break during the tattoo procedure?

Yes, if a break is needed, do not hesitate to ask. Please limit breaks to rest room, water, or a few minutes to stretch.

Can I bring anyone with me to my appointment?

Yes, you can bring one adult with you. No minors are allowed in the shop.

Should I bring anything to my appointment?

Yes, bring some water and good energy.

Can I see the tattoo on my body before I approve the start of the procedure?

Yes, before each artist starts tattooing he/she will show you the best placement and what it should look like.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required. No walk-ins will be allowed on premises.

What are the aftercare instructions?

Aftercare instruction will be given to you by the tattoo artist before you leave.

Can I bring my animal with me to my appointment?

Animals, except service animals as defined by the ADA, are not permitted in the procedure area or on the property.
